DECATUR, Ga. (AP — Police are investigating a triple shooting in which a stray bullet injured a 4-month-old infant while the mother was holding the baby in DeKalb County.
Media outlets report the shooting occurred Tuesday night at an apartment complex in eastern Decatur.
DeKalb County police say that in addition to the baby, bullets also hit a man and woman in an apartment unit next door. The baby is being treated at a hospital and is in stable condition.
Both adult victims were also hospitalized and in stable condition early Wednesday.
Police say they’re not sure what caused the shooting or who fired the shots, but that they have spoken to a person who may have witnessed what happened.
