TALLAHASSEE, Fla.– May is Bicycle Awareness Month and the City of Tallahassee is making sure all cyclists are getting to and from their destinations safely.

If you take a look around Tallahassee you’ll see more signs making residents aware of the nearest bike routes. This is just another addition to the highlighted green bike lanes places in the city’s busiest streets.

“The City is trying to make it just easier to move around town in a variety of ways, be that walking, cycling, and driving your car. We’re really working to make your mode of transportation easier and that’s your choice,” said Lizzy Kelley from the City of Tallahassee.

The City of Tallahassee is also currently constructing an extended bike lane from Doak Campbell Stadium to Cascades Park. Officials say they plan to have it done sometime this year.
