BAINBRIDGE, Ga. — Authorities say Quentieria Knight worked with her suspected killer.

Those who knew them both are still shocked. They say Quentieria — who they called Queen — will truly be missed.

“We would sit, talk, laugh,” said Bethany Rollins. “I was in a state of shock and disbelief.” She added.

Rollins still can’t believe 22-year-old Quentieria Knight is dead.

“I can walk out my door and see this girl every day. To say she’s gone, I’m still in disbelief right now. It still just really haven’t hit me,” Rollins said.

24-year-old Demarquis Glenn is charged in connection with Knight’s murder.

He was arrested Friday morning after Knight’s body was found in her car. It was still running with the headlights on. Decatur County deputies say Knight was shot multiple times.

Rollins said, “You’d never think she would be the type of person to get this type of treatment because she didn’t deserve it at all.”

Authorities say Glenn and Knight both worked at Elberta Crate and Box Company in Bainbridge.

Glenn reportedly asked Knight for a ride home Thursday night. Employees saw them leaving together.

Coworkers like Bobby Veniszee are wondering what went wrong. He said, “She was a good person. I don’t think nobody deserved that right there. It touched a lot of people. I just pray that the family is okay and that justice be done.”

Decatur County resident Alex Gordon said he grew up with Knight. He said, “I felt bad about it. I just don’t know why people these days do something like that to folks. She was a good girl. She was sweet. Everybody loved her.”

Rollins said, “I just want her to walk back out that door. She was speaking just hey, what’s up. I just want her to walk out the door and say something just anything.”

A manager at the manufacturing company where Knight and Glenn worked said Knight started working there March 30th, and was always there and never late.

He had no comment on Glenn or his arrest.

No word yet on a motive for Knight’s murder.
