TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Hacktivist group Anonymous has targeted Rick Scott, stating that it has “declared war” against the Florida Governor.
In a video released on Facebook featuring a computerized voice and person clad in a Guy Fawkes mask, the group demands that Scott be impeached and forced to resign.
Anonymous targets Scott claiming that he hasn’t taken enough action to preserve ocean wildlife by “allowing the polluted waters from Lake Okeechobee to directly pass into the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.”
Anonymous claims that Scott is “lining his pockets,” has made a “mockery of the judicial system,” and “protects Florida’s corrupt politicians.”
The group ends it’s monologue with “We do not forgive and we do not forget.”
This isn’t Anonymous’ only interest in Sucurrent events.
CBS12 in West Palm Beach reports that protesters and a reporter were recently arrested after police accused them of trespassing at Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg’s home.
Anonymous posted Aronberg’s home address, angry over his decision to not prosecute a former Palm Beach Garden’s police officer who killed Corey Jones, according to CBS 12.
WCTV has reached out to Governor Scott’s office but has not received comment.
The video in it’s entirety can be viewed below.
