TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV — One person was hospitalized and Capital Circle SW was closed for several hours following a head-on collision Monday morning.
Capital Circle was closed from Gum Road to Blountstown Highway on Monday morning but reopened shortly before 11 a.m.
Deputies with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office say a car was traveling northbound on Capital Circle SW and veered into southbound traffic before colliding head-on with a dump truck.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with a serious leg injury, authorities say. No other serious injuries from the accident have been reported.
A third vehicle was also involved after colliding with the wreckage.
The Tallahassee Fire Department and Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
